Healthy Living Centre Alliance
New Lodge Duncairn Community Health Partnership is one of eight healthy Living Centres situated in areas of disadvantage across Belfast. Healthy Living Centres have a long standing track record of reaching the hard to reach or seldom heard and in so doing are uniquely placed to address health inequalities through the provision of early interventions, health prevention and promotion activities within local communities.
The Healthy Living Centre Alliance came into being in 2008, as the first tranche of 16 individual funding streams through the New Opportunities Fund came to an end. Healthy Living Centres began to appreciate a strength in numbers approach to securing services and contracts into the future. The Healthy Living Centre Alliance was formally constituted in December 2018 and has a growing membership of 28 [February 2020] The Alliance now includes members from every Health Trust area on Northern Ireland. www.hlcalliance.org
